We take our name from the Buddhist bodhisattva. Manjushri wields a sword that cuts through illusion to reveal truth. His motivation is to end the delusions that cause human suffering. In the Buddhist tradition, seeing things as they really are allows human beings to feel genuine compassion for one another.

The Manjushri Project supports artwork that sheds new light on issues of national or global importance. We believe that promoting a more complete understanding of these issues will help foster compassion. By engaging senses and emotions, art can often convey truth more effectively than commercial media.
